Nutrition & Ejaculation

Your body always provides you with indications of just how healthy you are including your sexual health and functioning. Ejaculation excreted during sexual arousal and activity can provide indicators of nutritional deficiencies, infections, sexually transmitted diseases and disease. Paying attention to changes in viscosity, appearance, smell and even taste can be important when evaluating your sexual health and your health in general.

Male ejaculation, female ejaculation and vaginal secretions can indicate your level of hydration and nutritional intake. Nutrition can make ejaculation change in a variety of ways and it typically takes the food and drink that you consume just 12 to 24 hours to affect your ejaculation.

For men, semen typically has a slight scent of chorine; however, a very strong scent can indicate an infection or toxins in the body such as those found in cigarettes, prescription medications and other drugs. Yellow or green color can also indicate infections and red or brown color may indicate prostate health issues.

For women, texture of vaginal discharge will vary during hormonal shifts throughout the month and it can vary from clear to a milky white color with varying strength of scent. However, strong odor or changes in color such as yellow and pink hues or even a dramatic increase in thickness can indicate health concerns.

The best foods to eat for health in general as well as sexual functioning and healthy ejaculate are greens, beans, mushrooms, onions, berries, nuts and seeds. Also, if you have had to go on antibiotics for an infection, it is always a good idea to follow up with probiotics to help reintroduce helpful bacteria into the system.
